Anne Hailes book launch
Since working in UTV (1959 - 1966), Anne Hailes has had a varied an interesting career. Covering public relations to broadcasting on BBC Radio with her own programme ‘At Home with Anne Hailes’, World Service work to press officer with the Ulster Actors Company at the Arts Theatre. During this time she met many colourful celebrities and personalities who appeared on both local and international screens. She has written for local and National newspapers and magazines, and is currently a columnist with the Irish News. In this collection of stories and reminisces Anne gives a fascinating insight into the characters and the social evolution of our times. The stories are warm reflections laced with humour and the observations of this extraordinary journalist.
